Neurological Physiotherapy

What is Neurological Physiotherapy?

When damage in the central nervous system (CNS) occurs, which includes the brain and spinal cord, it means that the messages from the brain are not reaching certain parts of the body. As a result, the loss of movement and reduction of senses, uncoordinated movement, weak muscles, spasms and tremors are observed.
Neurological Physiotherapy is able to kick-start the message pathways that the brain is struggling to use, by making new pathways through repetitive actions and exercises. Neurological Physiotherapy can improve symptoms such as: loss of balance, loss of use of the hands and arms, or leg and foot function, difficulties in walking, reduce spasms and pain.

We are highly trained in the treatment of all neurological conditions including:

  • Functional Neurological Disorders
  • Stroke, CVA or TIA
